Dare to be Different!

Here is a card that I just finished.  This cute little fish is from Stampin' Up and belongs to the Very Punny set.  I have recently made a vow to start using some of my older stamp sets.  On Tuesdays, I meet up with some friends at Archiver's to "play"  and this set has been sitting in my bag for weeks.  Finally, I was inspired!

The orange fish doesn't show up very well in the photo, but I promise, he is very bright in real life.  I wasn't sure how to get a reverse image of him, so I decided to stamp him on some acetate with Stazon and then flip him over and place some orange cardstock behind him.  The little bubbles add a cute little touch.  I found them at Hobby Lobby purely by accident!

Here is a better view of the orange fish.... (still looks pale, especially on the tail, but oh well)

The inside is pretty simple and computer generated.

Thank you for visiting!

Trick or Treat

Boo!  Since its a bit too early to say "Happy Halloween", I thought I'd give you a little scare!  HaHa.  As you can see by this card, I've been getting into the Halloween spirit a bit.  I have so many Halloween supplies that I figured I'd better start putting them to use.

The spider was created using an EK Success punch.  I embossed it twice using some black Zing embossing powder.  Next time I'd like to try some black flocking in hopes of getting a textured tarantula look.  The "Trick or Treat" is also embossed.  I couldn't quite figure out what I wanted to do in that space.  The text is a little small, but it was my best option.  Maybe I need to go buy a bigger stamp....  Gotta justify it somehow, right?

It's a little hard to see in the first picture, but there is a cut out circle and the spider is on the inside of the card.  It's a little easier to tell in this picture.

And here is the inside:

Until next time, have a great week!
