Muse Challenge #161

Here is this week's Muse inspiration card by Anita Bowden.

The first thing that struck me about her card were the colors.  I just love these colors, bright, vibrant and fun.  Such a pretty card, and yet, clean and simple.

Below is my take on her card.  The background was done by blending distress inks on watercolor paper and then spritzed with water using a Distress Sprayer, then trimmed with a stitched border die.   I used a church die cut and stacked four of them on top of each other for a raised look and then placed on kraft cardstock (also using a stitched border die here), stamped my sentiment and voila!  Easy peasy.

Supplies Used:
Card Base- - 110 lb. Neenah Solar White
Kraft Cardstock
Watercolor Paper - Tim Holtz
Distress Inks - Abandoned Coral,  Carved Pumpkin & Fossilized Amber
Church Die - Simon Says Stamp
Sentiment - Prayers stamp set by Simon Says Stamp

  1. Your blending is gorgeous and you've got me rethinking that church die - it is perfect on this rich background! So glad you joined us at Muse this week, Donna!

  2. I love your ink blending....and that little church die is so perfect! I might just need to order one for myself! Great card!

  3. Great inked background and the chapel just pops off the card!

  4. This is gorgeous! Amazing background that the die-cut just stands out beautifully.

  5. Beautiful ink blending and take on the challenge Donna!

  6. Absolutely gorgeous ink blending, love how it flows from yellow to coral and back to yellow. Looks fabulous with the kraft too.
Thanks so much for playing along at Muse this week, Anita x
