In My Heart

Hello! Today, I am sharing another card for The Project Bin.  Valentines Day is just around the corner, so I felt inspired to start making some heart-themed cards.  For this card, I used the stamp set called In My Heart.  It comes with two really cute heart stamps and some great sentiments, but I decided to use the heart die and some adorable patterned paper as the focus of my card.

I cut the hearts from 14 different patterned papers and 1 in black for the sentiment, which is embossed in white.  I've always loved the look of mixing patterned papers, it definitely adds more interest and it also gives a great pop of color too!

Really, Really Hungry!

Hello again!  Thank you for joining me for another card using products from The Project Bin.  The sentiment on this card is hilarious!  We all know what it feels like to be REALLY REALLY hungry.  I don't know about you, but I get quite "hangry"!

Today's card features one of my "go-to" techniques, creating backgrounds. I have piles and piles of backgrounds that I've made just waiting to be turned into cards.  Maybe that's actually an achievable New Year's resolution???  We shall see.....

I began by stamping the sentiment in the center of the card using black ink.  Then, I randomly stamped the cupcakes.  I used only the cupcake part of the sentiment.  (I didn't use the "U >").  When it came time to choose colors, I knew I wanted it to be a "fun" card, so of course I had to go with a rainbow color palette.  I always seem to gravitate toward bright, bold colors anyway, so there is no surprise there!  After all the cupcakes were colored (with Copic markers), I wanted to add "just a little extra something", so I drew polka dots, using a white gel pen, on the frosting part of each cupcake.  I love how this turned out.  For the finishing touch, I added Glossy Accents to the cherries, oops I mean hearts, on each cupcake.

The sentiment on the card seemed like it was getting a little lost, so I white heat embossed part of the sentiment onto black card stock.  This definitely helped to highlight the sentiment, but it also accentuated the fact that said person is REALLY REALLY REALLY REALLY hungry!!!! LoL!

#BFF

Hello there and Happy Tuesday!  Today, I am sharing another card for The Project Bin.  For this card, I used the stamp set called #bff.  It is filled with some great sentiments!

For the background, I used the #bff stamp and stamped it repeatedly using VersaMark and then embossed with gold embossing powder.  I love the vivid color and the great texture from the embossing.

I stamped the main sentiment and used varying sizes of circle dies to showcase the sentiment a bit more since the background is quite busy.  To complete the card, I adhered the card panel to a gold card base and rounded the bottom corners.

You're Kinda Pawsome

Hello and Happy New Year!  Best wishes to all of you for an amazing, healthy and prosperous new year!  May 2019 be your best year yet!

Today, I am sharing my first card for The Project Bin as a new member of their design team.  I am really thrilled to be a part of this wonderful group of talented ladies!

My first card features the stamp set called Kinda Pawsome. Being a dog-lover, I couldn't resist using this set!  I started out by using one of the sentiments from the stamp set by stamping it repeatedly (using my Misti) in rainbow colors.  I stamped and colored the dog with Copic markers and cut him out using one of the dies that comes with this set. I love that the dies are included with this set, so nice not to have to buy them separately!  Once he was "all dressed", I placed him in the center of the panel and popped him up with some foam squares.  I finished off the card with a bright blue frame for some added color and added the panel to a yellow card base.
