Happy Tuesday! That means it is time to share another card for The Project Bin. For this week's card, I decided to use Spencer's Set again in honor of Autism Awareness month.
My background was created by blending 3 colors of distress inks onto watercolor paper and then spritzing droplets of water onto the panel, then lifting the water with a paper towel. I really like the distressed look the water droplets create. Once it was dry, I used a puzzle die to make my background into a puzzle, I thought it would coordinate well with the Autism puzzle logo. When I assembled the puzzle pieces onto the black card stock, I purposely left a little gap between the pieces. When I placed the pieces perfectly back together, it was really difficult to see that the background was a puzzle. The little gaps make it easier to notice that the background is made up of puzzle pieces.
I stamped and colored the puzzle heart with colored pencils, then cut it out using the coordinating heart die that can be found in the In My Heart set. I white-heat embossed the sentiment onto black card stock, and then cut one side into a fishtail banner, then adhered to the card. For the finishing touch, an array of matching sequins for a decorative element.
