Hello again! There's just something about "punny" sentiments that I love and this set does not disappoint! For my card today, I used a stamp set from
The Project Bin called
Love Your Shellfie. There is also a new addition to this stamp set, a coordinating die to cut out the turtle, which I love!
I started this card by using the Starburst Cover Plate to cut my background panel from white card stock. Then I did something really dumb! I used the die again to cut the rainbow paper and then used the die cut inlay technique to fill the negative spaces with the rainbow-themed paper. Why was that dumb? Well, I'll tell you.... all I needed to do was simply put it behind the white panel. Duh!!!! See, you're never too old to learn. 😉 I ended up cutting the white background 2 more times and then stacked the 3 of them together. I really like the dimension that that created, even though is doesn't really show in the photo.
Next, I stamped the turtle and sentiment, and colored him using Copic markers. I used a circle die to cut that out and then popped it up onto the card panel using foam squares. That helped to create more of a focal point on my card.
For the finishing touch, bling, cuz we all gotta have a little bling!
Thank you for stopping by!
