Happy BEElated Birthday!

Just buzzing by today to share another card for The Project Bin using a stamp set called The Gratest.  Shhhh!  I actually created 2 cards, but I am going to save one of them for next week!  If you love "punny" cards like I do, you need to check out this adorable stamp set.

For my card, I used the cute little bumblebee and stamped the image randomly to create my background.  I used black ink for all of the bees and then threw in a pop of color with the sentiment as a focal point.

For the "HAPPY", I used a die to cut the letters and then die cut them again in rainbow colors, then popped them into the negative spaces.  I used a "wonky" die to frame my card panel, then adhered it to a yellow card base, added a few sequins and VOILA!  Be sure to "tune in" next week for bumblebee card #2!

Happy Pumpkin Spice Season!

Hello again! I have another card to share today for The Project Bin.  Since we now are in the throws of "pumpkin spice season", I just had to make a card to honor said occasion!  LoL.

For my card, I used the stamp set, appropriately named, "Pumpkin Spice".  I stamped the cute, little spice jar repeatedly over my card panel to create the background using 4 different colors of inks.  I used 2 different circle dies to cut the center as a window and then stamped and white heat-embossed the pumpkin onto my brown card base to be seen through the window. To finish off the card, I stamped the sentiment with VersaMark onto black card stock and also embossed it with white embossing powder.

Harvest Wishes

Welcome back to another Project Bin Tuesday!  Today, I am sharing a card using one of their newer sets called Pumpkin Spice.  It's the perfect set for all those Pumpkin Spice lovers out there, you know who you are!

Here is my card:

I started with ink blending 3 different colors of distress oxides onto a panel of Kraft card stock.  Then I placed the stencil over the background and used the same colors of distress oxides over the stencil.  This gave the leaves a soft look so the sentiment could remain the focal point.  For the sentiment, I stamped it using VersaFine Black Onyx ink and then clear embossed it to make it more bold and give it some shine.  Next, I used a rectangle die to cut the panel and used the same die again to create the white frame.  For the finishing touch, a scattering of Fall colored gemstones.

Handmade Cards...

Hello again!  I am back again with a new card for The Project Bin.  I am using a brand new stamp set called Keepsake.  The sentiment in this set really sums up the reason that we make and send handmade cards, so I figured I would do exactly what this message embodies - make a card that the recipient will be able to display - because you can't do that with an email or Facebook post!  Right?

Here is my card:

I began by stamping the sentiment onto black card stock using embossing ink and then melted the white embossing powder with my heat gun.  Next, I cut out the white floral frame.  I had to snip a couple little clusters off as it was covering part of the sentiment.  I used one of my favorite techniques to complete this card - die cut inlay.  So easy and totally-fool-proof!  I used scraps from my "scrap bin" in a variety of bright, cheery colors and inlaid them into the negative spaces.  Here's hoping to see this on the mantle of somebody somewhere!
