Happy almost-Halloween! I've really been loving Fall lately, the color changes, the cooler temps, it's been simply beautiful here... just not ready for what's coming next! So, let's not even go there! Let's "talk" card-making!
I am sharing a card today for The Project Bin using a stamp set called Pumpkin Spice. Recently, I've been of a "use my stash" mindset, so it's been kind of fun using patterned papers again. I haven't been using patterned paper as much since I haven't worked on any scrapbook pages in quite some time. Definitely need to get back on that bandwagon, too!
Here is my card for today:
Pretty simple. Just 3 different papers, all from Doodlebug Designs, combined to create the card base. I stamped the sentiment onto Neenah Solar White, then used a stitched rectangle die to frame it. To finish off the card, I fussy-cut 2 of the pumpkins from the same paper and popped them up with foam squares. Easy Peasy!
Thank you for stopping by and have a great week!
Supplies Used:
Pumpkin Spice - The Project Bin
Candy Carnival - Doodlebug 6x6
BooVille - Doodlebug 6x6
Boos & Brews Doodlebug 6x6
Stitched Rectangle - Lawn Fawn

Eat Sail Sleep Repeat
It's Tuesday! That means it's time to share another card for The Project Bin. For today's card, I used the stamp set called Anchors Away.
Here is my card:
I really like this color combination for nautical cards, so fun and vibrant. Also, this card is pretty typical of how I scrapbook as well. I have always loved mixing patterned papers together, stripes with dots, dots with plaid, etc. If it matches, works well together, and is colorful, I am all about it! I really need to use patterned paper more on my cards... some might say that my craft room is a fire hazard as I have so much of it! But that's okay, my theory is... whoever dies with the most paper, wins! 😉
I started my card with the background panel by mixing a striped paper with a dotted paper, as mentioned above. To separate the 2 patterned papers, I ran a strip of very narrow washi tape between them to give it more of a finished look. Next, I stamped the sentiment onto blue raspberry cardstock using VersaFine Onyx black ink and then I heat-embossed it with clear embossing powder to give it more of a bright, glossy look. Then, I dusted off a very old, yet well-loved, Quickutz die called Heart in Circle. It reminded me of a ship window, so I tried to embrace that idea. I die cut the shape 3 times and stacked them together, then added the silver gems around it for a finishing touch.
I still thought the card need just a little something, so I added the waves in aqua and navy at the bottom of the card for a little more interest.
Thank you for stopping by!

There's Too Much Space Between Us
Hello! I have another card to share today for The Project Bin using a stamp/die and sentiment from the stamp set called Milky Way.
Here is my card:
I started with the background panel. I used a cover die on 5 different colors of card stock. I cut the first one from white and then used the die cut inlay technique with the 4 other colors. The cute, little martian is heat-embossed with platinum embossing powder, then cut out using the coordinating die that is included in this set. I cut the shape four times. For the bottom 3 layers, I used black card stock and then adhered them together for a stacked look. This is a great way to pop it off of the busy background and set it apart a bit.
Next, came the sentiment, which is white heat-embossed onto black card stock. For the finishing touch, a scattering of small stars to give it a bit of a galaxy look.
Thank you for stopping by!
Supplies Used:
Milky Way - The Project Bin
Shining Star cover die - Taylored Expressions
Platinum embossing powder - Hero Arts
Misc. card stock

The Best is You
Hello and Happy Tuesday! I am sharing another card today featuring a sentiment stamp and die from The Project Bin. This sentiment (and the coordinating heart die) is from a stamp set called In My Heart.
Here is my card....
I started with a panel of Tim Holtz watercolor paper and blended 6 colors of distress oxides, then gave it a spritz with water and dabbed it with a paper towel. I used a cover die from Altenew called Dainty Blooms and cut it using white card stock, then used it as an overlay over the rainbow colored background. The sentiment is black heat embossed onto pink card stock and I used the heart die that is included in this set to cut the heart shape. I didn't want the heart to get lost on the busy background, so I cut a circle from vellum and the popped up the heart on the circle using foam squares to create more of a focal point.
Thank you for stopping by!
Supplies Used:
In My Heart - The Project Bin
Dainty Blooms - Altenew
Watercolor card panel - Tim Holtz
Distress Oxides - Picked Raspberry, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Peacock Feathers & Wilted Violet
Circle Die
Vellum
Neenah Solar White 110 lb. for card base

Happy BEElated Birthday (card #2)
Hello there! As promised, I am back with card #2 using "The Gratest" stamp set from The Project Bin. Once again, I used the bumblebee to create a background. This time using yellow ink and only stamping the bottom half of the panel. Again, I used rainbow colors for the word "happy" because who doesn't love a colorful card? I stamped, and white heat embossed, the sentiment onto black card stock, cut it into a strip, and used the strip to separate the busy background from the upper background of white. For the finishing touch, a few colorful sequins to add a little bling!
Thank you for stopping by!
Supplies Used:
The Gratest - The Project Bin
Caps Lock Happy - Taylored Expressions
Sunkissed Ink - Altenew
Neenah Solar White card stock
Misc. card stock scraps for letters
Sequins - Amethyst, Fairytale Fuchsia & Ocean Spray - Pretty Pink Posh
